Fight the power.
Like an employee handbook or something ?We’re not union but Fedex has policies and procedures in place to cover instances such as this. Management counts on employees not knowing anything about those P & P.

We do have written policy that pertains to these situations however. Many managers abuse or ignore policy to the detriment of many new or uninformed employees. These battles should not have to be fought.Your not union. You want paid for time sitting on the clock I suggest you rally the troops and try to unionize.
It USED to be in book form. Then they put in on the computer and make it very difficult to use. I’ve made a point of learning how to use it as well as how to print out the policy I need to use. It’s helped me in many situations.Like an employee handbook or something ?
Oh, and I make a point of educating any newbies on how to find the P & P. So you might say I’m a problem employee in THAT way. Lol.Like an employee handbook or something ?
Good girlOh, and I make a point of educating any newbies on how to find the P & P. So you might say I’m a problem employee in THAT way. Lol.
Lol. I feel as a senior employee that it’s my duty. One guy I steered to the P & P, he had family coming from out of the country. He asked for a day off a month ahead of time. They kept putting him off until the Friday before, then told him he couldn’t have Monday off. He said, I won’t be here. Then they didn’t want to pay him for the day. Um, no. I told him exactly what he needed to do. He got paid. Another educated employee. Lol.Good girl
Only part of the truth as I have been told. Can't say anymore.
It usually is. Let me guess, they can’t get handlers to come to work and load/unload the planes?Only part of the truth as I have been told. Can't say anymore.

Not even close. Just trying to help coworkers. Hate to see people get screwed over. I think I would have been a great Shop Steward. Lol.Madonna?
(not the singer)
"“FedEx has contingency plans in place to lessen the effects of severe weather on our operations and service. Our priorities are always the safety and well-being of our team members and providing the best service possible,” a company statement said."
If I could say more, I'd say that's not it this time. I'm finished, don't entice or lure me further. It usually is. Let me guess, they can’t get handlers to come to work and load/unload the planes?

Anytime I see or hear a statement from Fedex, it sounds in my brain like Charlie Brown’s teacher."“FedEx has contingency plans in place to lessen the effects of severe weather on our operations and service. Our priorities are always the safety and well-being of our team members and providing the best service possible,” a company statement said."
Really? Most of east coast/midwest the USA can be trucked 11 hours by a contractor to a local hub and then the local CTV could pick it up from there... but they decided to sit on the freight for a plane....
I mean, it always seems like as soon as MEM hits *any* wx the operation goes tits up, even if IND is doing ok.
Pretty please, with sugar on top? Lol.If I could say more, I'd say that's not it this time. I'm finished, don't entice or lure me further.

You filthy girl.Pretty please, with sugar on top? Lol.
That only works for a limited amount of domestic freight, right? Aren't disruptions like this par for the course of a system that is overly centralized?"“FedEx has contingency plans in place to lessen the effects of severe weather on our operations and service. Our priorities are always the safety and well-being of our team members and providing the best service possible,” a company statement said."
