There is plenty of work for all drivers. UPS management has a heart attack every time a driver gets an 8hr day. Every driver knows monday is the 1st guaranteed day of the week they will violate 9.5. They create problems just to get the union to make concessions.

I disagree. If UPS hires enough Tue-Sat drivers to meet the needs of Saturday, without forcing Mon-Fri drivers in on Saturday, there will not be enough work for all drivers during the week.

UPS definition of not enough work is 11hrs.

have you ever seen FedEx's TNT map? it beats ours to a pulp; we are just trying to catch up

uh no? we did our heaviest expansions in 2017-2018; last years expansion was just the middle-of-nowhere buildings to hit a %-population target to make marketing happy
2017-2019 we had 15 Saturday routes. Now we have almost 50. I’m talking about the increase of Saturday routes from the original amount. Not expansion around the country.

Really? Who didn't see it coming. After seeing what happened to smartpost, no one should have been surprised that UPS was going to try and push everything to Saturday.
Maybe. That’s giving them more credit than they deserve on this issue. If they did than there complicit in all this six day mess because they agreed to the 25 percent rule. That means they knew some RPCD ‘s would have to cover the Saturdays based on the amount of routes that they knew would increase over the life of the contract. Unless a local waived the 25 percent rule.

Explain??
We had this concessionary contract imposed upon us.
The 22 for language was supposed to be to alleviate overtime and not have rpcd drivers work on Saturdays.
I know every building is different but in my building we have at least double of the amount of Saturday routes versus 22.4 drivers.

The language in this contract is horrible and O'Brien needs to step up his game and address us immediately

Don't be afraid to save some money for a strike next year

Has your business agent waived the 25 percent rule?

Nope and it's not going to happen.

They do not need more 22.4 drivers.

They need to put the workload back to where it was.

Next year is going to be very interesting
Which is why many didn’t know that they were going to increase the amount of routes like they have. If you say the Union knew then there complicit in all this.

They can increase the routes all they want but if they want to increase the 22.4 drivers they have to hire three rpcd drivers for every one 22.4 driver.
Where is that in the National? I know it also says that Union and company can waive 25 percent. My business agent said let them hire a ton of 22.4s they’ll be RPCD next contract.
