Won’t work. Get rid of Surepost and they will have to raise the rates on those packages. We will then loose that volume.

There will never be enough work for all the drivers during the week if the number of Tue-Sat jobs equaled the number of Saturday jobs.

Remember, some people on here want to get rid of 22.4 and make them all RPCD.

This will never work.

In my building they are trying without success to force 1/2 the senority list in 6 days a week because they need them Monday, and Saturday.
They need to figure something out, or come next year we are going to risk losing a giant chunk of market share.

With every week of RPCD no shows on Saturday they staff higher on the senority list for the next week in the hope some of us will show up*

2017-2019 we had 15 Saturday routes. Now we have almost 50. I’m talking about the increase of Saturday routes from the original amount. Not expansion around the country.
Saturday is the new Monday; for your building it means you had tons of loads getting in by Sat morning then sitting till Monday already

why make them sit? run them Saturday, gives you more room on Monday for potentially pushing Tues/Weds loads forward and balancing out the week

Because we don’t have the people.

the plan is always to have zero 6th day punches; bad staffing means you have disorganized management or a tough labor market, or both lol
And now management is reaping the rewards of about four years of this nonsense. Driver fatigue, Low driver morale, drivers quitting, And having a difficult time making service because we can’t replace them…. bravo

Remember back in the day when drivers only left the company because they retired or were fired?? Nobody just walked out because they were tired of the BS…happens all the time now.

UPS management has always been difficult, but that’s a known quantity, now they’re not only difficult, they’re inept. And their workforce is getting more and more disgruntled. Eventually they are going to smack back.

Already happening with the PT workforce. Used to be one of the best PT jobs you could have. FT pay with benefits after 90 days and weekends and Holidays off with pay. Now it is considered one of the worse PT job.

You are a broken record. You are literally talking about 40 years ago now. Get over it. It's still a part-time job that can offer benefits for your entire family and/or pay for your schooling. Certainly not one of the worst. I know 9 months blah blah blah.

I have an acquaintance that just got hired at worldport. She’s so happy. Can’t wait to hear what she says in a week or 2.
