No you can’t use a contractual violation as past practice. Won’t fly even legit past practice are a tough sell at a panel.
How is it a contract violation when Art 40 allows air drivers to pick up and deliver ground packages as long as they are paid top driver rate. Used to be anytime an air driver touched a ground package they were paid top rate for the day. The union negotiated it down to 4 hours until they would be paid for the whole day. Otherwise it was pay actual. Another Union concession that is an incentive to use PT air drivers. But keep fighting out there. I encourage you to eliminate Art 40 in next years contract along with the 4 year progression and 22.4 delivery drivers.

Not Continually but you keep spinning it and be management pet. And I will tell you use the language already in place to make sure full-time jobs are not replaced with part-time work. Even though it benefits you and your situation it is not contractually correct. The four hours was negotiated so that management did not use it more , tell you what you file a grievance on yourself for working more than 30 days in a 90 day period doing ground and asked to be put on as a full-time driver. Since the company has demonstrated they need it. You won’t because you’re a scab for the company. Yes we’ve won that case here multiple times

After an air driver does ground work 30 out of 90 days that creates a new ground driver job.

Simply put your center has to hire more drivers. If no part timer wants to do it then they hire off the street. It’s simple

He knows that he just doesn’t care. He’s a divider, and a stone thrower. And he has been his whole career he badmouths everyone in charge for the mistakes they made but uses them to his advantage. Simply put is a taker and all about himself. Is fooling no one here.

My building has been in a constant FT delivery driver hiring phase for years. Would you rather have driver sups doing deliveries and pick ups or a dues paying Union member? The company could be using other FT drivers except they threaten to file a seniority violation grievance for extra work. Where I live being a delivery driver is not the best job out there. Especially if you can read and write the English language. So file away.

Another delivery driver who thinks they know everything about everyone. Heard any good conspiracy theories lately?

LOL yep just another delivery driver who knows exactly what you are, just like everyone on here does remember that when you’re looking at yourself in the mirror you’re just a coward who uses people takes advantage of them

Correct with supposed union employees like you who take advantage of every situation why would they stay? You’re the perfect example of what’s wrong with everything in a local

Are you sure about that?! When manager tells your center we are fully staffed and we are not even close to eliminating six punch, that has nothing to do with the center manager. That’s Corporate. Then they blame the Union. Sounds like a new definition of Fully Staffed.
a manager + his DM have wide, wide, WIDE discretion to hire to whatever number they :censored2:ing feel like
at NO point does Corporate have any say whatsoever

They also don’t have people like you pushing a stupid Orion system that is a complete joke trying to justify their job. Get rid of the Union and watch UPS tank, you think people will put up with your BS for FedEx wages?
i dont know who you're talking to guy, i'm a fan of the union

that said, the reason we don't have a 7 day network up to this point is 100% because we have a union; whether that's good or not, i dunno lol i guess we'll find out next year

Management has too many guys sitting on Mondays that don’t work saturdays. You should be building more routes on Mondays and utilizing them guys. Instead you’re cutting everything on Mondays and pushing more on saturdays when you don’t have as many workers available.

And that may run you out of hours by the end of the week for driving!
Zero hours left friday, no forced 6th punch saturday?
Absolutely make some OT during the week. Enjoy a reasonable Friday dispatch and your weekend. Helps them out working with a trained loader and helps you out knowing you gave yourself a good load.

Definitely takes some adjustment if your not used to the hours. Try it out what is the worst that could happen??

Did tsp start? I asked for 8 hours . Still getting 300+ pieces on 160 stops and 20 pickups . I guess it’s only 8 hours if you skip break and run all day. And don’t take any account for traffic either.
