Your observation is right on....The Republican party has become the party of destruction. The entirety of the primary campaign as been about what these candidates would get rid of, the people they will discriminate against, the people they will bar from the country, and the wars they intend to start. Not a single, positive idea to benefit the American people to be found anywhere.

Basically, many Republicans have divorced their brains from anything liberal, nullifying anything liberal, canceling anything liberal from their thoughts, a right-wing self-lobotomy of things like facts, honesty, truth, science, compassion, kindness, courtesy, the teachings of Jesus, replacing these positive attributes and thoughts with everything anti-liberal and arch-conservative. Thus, any semblance of common sense in Republican brains had to bite the dust, as well as any sense of community and humanity and decency, with only hypocrisy remaining, and lies, and unbridled greed, and constant war against anything liberal (like our nation and the U.S. Constitution).
