It's getting to where one cannot post anything from the News Media!
But as Rosenstein was thrust into the spotlight shortly after news of Comey's dismissal broke, he was taken aback and even threatened to resign, according to an unnamed person close to the White House who was cited by The Washington Post.
The Justice Department denied on Thursday morning that Rosenstein had threatened to resign. But Rosenstein was angry that the White House had carried out Comey's termination the way they did, according to CNN.
The news Media in the USA is not interested in the truth. (FAUX, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, NYT, WAPO,etc.)
They'd rather make things up because it suits their revenue generation strategy and tactics.
Read below and determine for yourself if the news media was stating Alternative Facts or as usual, making stuff up and espousing it as the truth or in the vernacular ... they lied.
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein said he's not quitting, nor did he threaten to quit over his role in the firing of FBI Director James Comey.
When asked by Sinclair Broadcast Group's Michelle Macaluso about reports that claim otherwise, he stated "no, I'm not quitting."

I agree with that but the preponderance is when it comes to politics.
I watch several news sources ... usually CNN, OANN, FOX, MSNBC and try to 'normalize' the input from all of them to try and find the truth.
Of course, I come with my own biases and life experience that influences my normalization no matter how I try.

Why didn't he just say that he did not ask for more funding?
His highlighted quote from the article.
MCCABE: I cannot confirm that request was made. As you know ma’am, when we need resources, we make those requests here. So I — I don’t — I’m not aware of that request and it’s not consistent with my understanding of how we request additional resources.
He said he is not aware of it. Not that he didn't make the request.
