About 2 years ago I️ signed a bid in another center. I️ was highest seniority guy to sign. The current bid driver came to me and told me it was the “hood” and I️ couldn’t wear my chains I️ wear every day. That I️ couldn’t vary my wallet in my back pocket like I️ do everyday. That I️ couldn’t Cary my phone so on and so on. I️ told him how I️ wasn’t changing s* and they would have to fight me to get my personal property. He advised me that if I️ took the route I️ would probably end up being fired I️ thank him still to this day.
I had to finally resort to drastic measures to survive that area...

I taped a job application to my windshield and no one messed with me.

He also told me that I could always file a grievance if I was attacked and bring awareness to the issue. Jerk.

There were twelve people shot and six stabbed in a 24 week period in that area. I'd love to put his worthless butt in the jump seat for a few weeks so he could lead by example.
Hard to file a grievance from the morgue.

Passed on it. I️ would have ended up in s physical alteration within a week guaranteed. Better off not putting myself into that situation. Have several cop friends who offered me a vest and such , still , just not worth it.

A house got riddled with lead from two submachine guns one night.
I couldn't pack enough heat to combat those odds.
A helper would be nice. :devil3:

At least in Texas, a private employer may:
3. Prohibit employees from carrying or possessing firearms in the work place and company- provided vehicles, whether carried concealed or openly, whether licensed or not. TEX. LAB. CODE, sec. 52.062(b). However, state law does not allow a private employer to prohibit an employee, who is lawfully licensed, from possessing a firearm or ammunition in a locked, privately owned motor vehicle in a parking lot, parking garage, or other parking area the employer provides for employees. Texas Labor Code, sec. 52.061. (See Fn. 2)
Even though there is a big sign at our guardshack prohibiting weapons on UPS property, they can not prohibit posessing a weapon on their parking lot. We had a driver get his vehicle broken into and they stole his pistol from his glove compartment. They didn't say a word to him about it.
