I've seen at least 4 people roll out at 25 under 50, one guy was 46. I left at 25 on the dot.

There's no parity with these pension plans

Everyone has a different payout in different terms of service and some do not offer healthcare.

That's true, but now you can just get an ACA plan until medicare if your local won't cover you. If the OP is rolling out at 47 I assume he has a decent payout.

Honestly when I found out over the years that most people are completely clueless when it comes to retirement, they live in Fantasyland


And working those few years is really going to affect your social security payout.
