If you can take a truck with 200+ pieces on it for 150 different addresses, empty it and return that a truck full of pick up volume 10 hours later, then I say yes.Should a delivery driver make $45/hr?

170k is a great incentive though.PAL system to eliminate misloads, RFID to eliminate misloads from the PAL system, ORION etc. Yeah technology is great. But no substitute for an experienced and trained human.
They will. Not a should. $ has to be printed or we default. We are beyond paying out debt.I get it
But should somebody working at McDonald's should make $25 an hour?
Lol. They eat their own. Especially those with moral compass.Yep cutting the full timers and giving the part-timers a bonus lol. It’s pretty clear Carol does not care about morale in the management ranks.
$14 he biggie sized it.That's why it's cost you $12 for a big Mac combo meal
So they spent billions to create a program that requires ridiculous oversight to function properly knowing full well that the oversight would not occur? Genius!so you know what ORION's real issue is? it requires excellent map and parameter maintenance by your PDS
it can't work properly without it, and IE has zero control over what your PDS does or doesn't do
That is called job securitySo they spent billions to create a program that requires ridiculous oversight to function properly knowing full well that the oversight would not occur? Genius!
Its a big freaking jokeso you know what ORION's real issue is? it requires excellent map and parameter maintenance by your PDS

the IE dept basically runs 99% of amazon, so okay?IE can and will be outsourced soon. Maybe Amazon is hiring
Don't misrepresent what you are actually saying. Perfect means perfect.better than a human, don't dodge that your point was wrong
I noticed right before the rfid was implemented that the misload went through the roof for about three months.this is NOT what PAS was created for, it's also NOT automation
RFID DOES reduce misloads over basic PAS; this also, is NOT automation
yet again, this is NOT an example of automation, but it absolutely does increase SPORH +2-3 even adjusting for all downsides that's why UPS hasn't dropped it
please, just stick to parking the cars dude, you really have no clue what you're talking about
misloads are cyclical, have been for decadesI noticed right before the rfid was implemented that the misload went through the roof for about three months.
Making sure the misload go up before you implement a technology. Does not prove that the technology actually reduces misloads.
and yet, it still turns a profitSo they spent billions to create a program that requires ridiculous oversight to function properly knowing full well that the oversight would not occur? Genius!
I highly doubt it's even paid for itself.and yet, it still turns a profit
Well maybe they're hiringthe IE dept basically runs 99% of amazon, so okay?
automation
why would I have a sup or an hourly sort work that a machine can do perfectly?
You must be insinuating the company still profits every quarter because no chance Orion has made more than it cost with most veteran drivers ignoring it completely.and yet, it still turns a profit
Just because you say it doesn't make it true. At least 95% of reports at UPS are fudged in some way. You should know that by now. They throw out a bogus number like that to keep the shareholders happy. If they had to run a route with the solution changing 50 times and wanting you to get to pickups 2 hours early, they would understand the joke it is and that the numbersthis is NOT what PAS was created for, it's also NOT automation

it has, that's why it has "turned a profit"I highly doubt it's even paid for itself.
We are told to not blindly follow ORION but to use are common sense. You must be insinuating the company still profits every quarter because no chance Orion has made more than it cost with most veteran drivers ignoring it completely.
