UPS Strike prediction

We don't use air drivers to run ground routes. We also don't have PT temp ground drivers. Air drivers may pull some stops or pick ups off in an emergency. Unfortunately we seem to have a lot of emergencies. Like a driver gets hurt or sick or a family member. Are you going to tell a driver he can't go home to take care of a sick child because the Union won't let another Union member help out?
That's fine on an occasional basis.

But obviously if you were making $90,000 a year that's not an occasional basis

Stop your nonsense. Every center has those problems and why would you still be there? We don’t even have air drivers after 10 o’clock. If a driver gets sick, or has a personal emergency, the other drivers pick up the slack and make the overtime either by voluntary measures or forced.

That would be fine with me if the delivery drivers would only stop complaining and threaten to file over extra work and tell management to give it to the air drivers to help.

Good luck with delivery drivers doing their own work or even showing up.
