Hidden camera. You don’t advertise it. Our bodies. Our property. Our business. At least in my state, only one party needs to consent to record. If they fire you for non-compliance then how can they fire you again? Policy is not above the law. If camera footage is inadmissible in a court of law then why do businesses bother putting up security cameras everywhere if you cannot be prosecuted for breaking the law using that as evidence? Additionally that’s why you would have a shop steward to backup the evidence.Ok.
Now, is recording at UPS legal and contractual or company policy?
I would get written statements from the Company and Union.
Not conjecture, wild guessing,friend-em hothead stuff.
Simply....is it ok to clandestinely, secretly record? And it be admissible in court and not get me fired?
