Voting Starts Next Week! How will you vote and why.

Slug Life

When do we eat?
Just curious why you think there will be a 75% no vote? At my center its 85% yes, and the other 4 centers in the local are also yes.
Dude you are a part-time stup get real. It must suck spreading Company/sell-out IBT lies. Drink a cold beer while you debate on pulling the trigger. It’ll all be over soon...

Most discriminatory contract proposal for part-timers!

Did someone realize that company raising wages by $3.50 in hour only for new part-timers? All others getting $0.70 ! Same position same work responsibilities and requirements! Why?! Just because that I worked for the company little longer and making more, than $13.50 ??
Why not across the board wage increase, for everyone $3.50 or, what Union wants $5.00 in hour?
And why Union so worried about people, who are not in the Union yet, who not working yet and forgetting about current Union Members?

Pters don't matter.
PT work never should have been allowed at UPS.
The PT ranks are filled with whiny unskilled laborers. They shouldn't be making even minimum wage.

In the Spirit of Honore' Daumier
That's a legitimate concern and there's always far too big a portion of members either too weak or too apathetic to take a stand or at least get engaged in the process, but I do think there's at least a decent chance that there will be a far better voting turnout for this "Tentative Agreement" than the utterly pathetic total of around 65,000 total that showed up in 2013.

I can't speak for other areas, but in my building nearly all the full time hourlies vote. I have never not voted on a contract and cannot understand why so many would neglect to do so. There's not many, if any, rational arguments to be made for forfeiting one's best chance to improve conditions regarding the workplace.

This contract vote will be a referendum...This "Tentative Agreement" is concessionary granted but most of the "NO" votes will be high seniority members who see what is going wrong with our work environment, ethics, service and morale. People are sick and tired of the same old song and dance from both negotiating parties..It is pathetic.

Remember those old "employee surveys" that we turned in year after year and nothing came out of them. This vote is your best chance to express your feelings about were we are heading. I guarantee your that if this "Tentative" goes down hard people in charge will be force to listen. This is a great opportunity to make a change for the better for our future and those who follow.."Do Not blow it by not voting"...

Hate to break in to you but many of the high seniority FT and PT have already voted yes because of the increases to the pension plans.

But that's why they structured the contract the way they did. Target certain groups to get the Yes vote because of the pathetic turn out we usually get. Any newer part time employee will get a big raise from $10 to $13. Any employee that is with in a few years of retirement in the Central states is going to get a nice bump in the pension. The 20k + drivers in progression are going to get between $2-4 bump up in progression. The 5000 new 22.4 jobs are going to get some votes from the part timers that want a shot at full-time.

Screwing over the future to appease young guys who don't know any better, and old guys who don't care because they're on their way out.

Vote for what benefits you. Stop with this selling out the future bull:censored2:. If President Trump proposed a 10 percent tax raise for the middle class would you be the first person to sign up? If you didn't you would be leaving thousands of people that could use your tax money out to dry.

I'm sure glad that the people who worked here before me, didn't think they way.
