I am very disappointed with the union and how they have handled the contract discussions. I mean how does the union still allow UPS to use this paper thin toilet paper?! I mean come on. I need a wad so thick just so my finger doesn't poke through. Not to mention this stuff have no gripping texture. Get with it Teamaters.

I disagree.

People are assuming, that people are going to be jumping on these jobs.

The prevailing thought is.... "good luck with that".

The company trying to exceed the 25% cap ?

Where are these people going to be coming from ?
They just filled the new atlanta hub with people from the homeless shelters.

What about the 100/200 dollar annual deductible that came with the last year of the 2013 contract, will we be paying that for the next five years?

The short term disability in my area was 600 dollars before, with Team Care paying half and the company paying the difference. The improvement is that UPS does not have to cover the difference anymore. The continued medical coverage for the 26 weeks of short term disability is an improvement.

My wife is a registered nurse who has worked in case management for major hospitals and insurance claims for one of the largest healthcare companies in the nation. I am going from her opinion that under Team Care is not the same as what we were under with the old Aetna plan before the 2013 contract. We are paying more on co-pays, annual deductibles and major medical.

Again with the company paying Team Care as of 8/17/18 461.92 a week into each of our individual health care coverage which equals 24,024 annually, also at the end of this contract it will be at 29,224 annually per full time employee, the question should be asked if we are getting our monies worth with these improvements.

Part timers are currently getting 295.57 a week going into just their Health and Welfare, which equals 15,444 annually going up to 17,004 at the end of this tentative. Is their coverages going to be inferior to the full timers and in what way?

No, that's unionism, who's roots are completely embedded in socialist doctrine.

The "life choice" they made was to join hands with their brothers and sister to bargain collectively with a Fortune 500 company.

Because in the end, we can't all be doctors, lawyers, stock brokers, or even Big Union Guys?

Don't beliitle us for being the backbone of this Company, instead honor us (all of us) with the concession--free contract we deserve.

Let me sum this up for you @Time for change in an analogy.

It's the IBT mindset that it's acceptable to push countless members off the cliff, provided they can point a finger at the stone that started the landslide.

We are dealing with a Company that has never in it's history trended backwards, yet we continue to give them concessions.

That's the reality of what's going in here, plain and simple.
There can only be, jmo, one logical reason

Judge Approves Agreement Ending Government Oversight Of Teamsters Union

Teamsters’ 25 Years of Federal Oversight to End

I felt the last conference call explained a lot of the whining that goes on here. I mainly lurk for info but this whole I'm voting no because I'm mad and all the facts will be ignored until I'm happy, gets old. We have part timers that have been working full time hours for years now, very similar to the proposed 22.4. Yet they get zero benefit except a little more in pay check now. No overtime protection, no full time pension or health care, and don't start any progression. If 22.4 is the answer to the company's abuse of them so be it. If they want to use them to suck up some of my OT, so be it. I was originally against the cba because I was mad at the games the company plays, but I still showed up every day, so obviously it wasn't bad enough to leave. So with the improvements in some of the contract and the rest being the same, I'm willing to do another 5.
"The last conference call" you mean the one that they tried to tie in 22.3s to 22.4s, although it is my understanding that 22.3s are classified as oca/inside or inside/inside and they are not delivering ground packages. It's not whining if for 10 years (if the contract passes) 25 and out get no pension raises, if P/ts that have 5 years with company they will be making basically the same as a new hire. Also read the memorandum of understanding on the last page of the contract and tell me your OK with that. May be in another 5 years the company will make double the profits there making now and we'll give even more concessions.

OMG, another poster thinking TonyQ will actually answer a question!

On who?

Your doctor can fix that with a single shot nowadays!
He was told to hit the breaks. He thought he was going to impress his boss and convince people on here to vote yes. His boss said he’s doing more harm than good and he is pissing more people to vote no.

You couldn’t be farther from the truth. Nice try though. Unlike you, nobody knows who I am. People might have their suspicions, but in the end when it’s all said and done, they will be suspiciousions. You are a known commodity, and your will have to stand by your words. Good luck.

Unlike you that changes your words with each new name? Lol! Comical. I can stand up and change my mind. You are not allowed to until after next election. Kinda sad being held hostage. Your members should make a bylaws change for some 22.4 business agents. 2 for the price of 1?
