Voting Starts Next Week! How will you vote and why.

Voting no.

Just like that? Just because someone (not even from your region) told you a tiny snippet of something it may or may not have in it?

I couldn't care less if you vote yes or no, but at least have your own :censored2:ing opinion on it.
You're the guy my wife thinks I should be.

Instead of a raise for partimers why not give them one free vending machine voucher per week?

They have that already..Every time somebody mysteriously breaks the front glass panels on one of our vending machines, or the vender forgets to lock up the machine.

It happened in my building a couple of weeks ago, I got a product out of the machine and noticed that it was mistakenly still open. I came back 15 minutes later after they called break for the sort and the kids cleaned it out, even took the gum and lifesavers.

It was close to founders day and they probably thought it was free vending for the day...

.....A strike is becoming such an option that it’s not even funny. Get ready and save your money....

Who besides me, is NOT scared?

I don't know Tony Q, but he seems like he is a "bitch"

Don't get me wrong, there are some guys who are genuinely afraid of their own shadows and afraid to disappoint the man, but JC! I mean J C ….
I hear you brother ... let’s go

If you are worried that no vote means a stike, think about this. I've vote no before many times. We have only stuck once in my 29+ years. Why because both sides are required to bargin in "good faith". Only when one side refuses to negotiate then a strike really becomes an option. Neither side wins. The authorization of a stike we voted for is the same as a 8 year old telling his parents, "I'm leaving" and he packs a bag and heads to the front door. Waiting to be stopped by his parents who are laughing. It's only a threat if you are serious.

In One Hundred and Twelve years of UPS's existence we only had one national sponsored strike..That in itself should help relief those panic attacks.

Strike Fund was at 55 dollar a week, now it is up to 450 a week with continuing Health coverage.

"Oh MY God"..we are going to strike..People get real...

The on day strike over the Company expanding into 150 weight limits that Carey did February l994 does not count...

If you won't vote no because your afraid of strike. I'll imagine you don't file grievances either. Vote is anonymous , no will know how you vote. Just exercise your right.

Yes, life is hard.

Its too soon for them to break us. They're close, but would crash and burn. 5 years from now.

For what its worth, i thought the contract language was pretty good. I like most of the proposed changes.
The end of Teamsters is much closer than people will ever understand. You can always tell people something could happen, but they will not believe it till it goes down. Thanks for your input on the contract though.

How about we reconfigure the wage and give 75% to the part timers between 4 and 30 years. The full time employees could get much smaller wages so we can take care of the part timers who will end up voting at about 10%. Does this sound satisfactory? Lets give it to the Part Timers.

There's no point in being in a union if cowardice is how you stand your ground. Have some self respect.
If getting offered a 14.5 billion offer over 5 years and knowing that the membership won't accept it and the company probably making it there last best and final offer monetarily is cowardice then I don't know what to tell you. You should have been saving your money for a minimum of six months in the advent of a work stoppage. I know that 99% did not do this though AND IF WE CALL A STRIKE MANY WILL CROSS THE LINE. This is a fact.

In your opinion would you be okay with giving the full timers a quarter a year and the rest to the part timers? This would be the right thing to do using your logic.
I'd take a total of a dollar less on the cba raises to help the pt timers.
But, I'd kick in $100 to help you get a GED.
