Apparently Perks of being a wallflower is more of a highschool book. Just like the book the middle schooler got was. There is a big difference between a high schooler, middle schooler and elementary kid when it comes to their maturity about sex. When I was in highschool we were reading the jungle, fountainhead, Steven King books for book projects. Those are pretty graphic books at times.

This is the one where I’m like yeah I don’t have a problem with it being removed, but I also make it a point to tell you over half of teens in middle school level have discovered porn on the internet. I’m not obsessed with the idea of them having access to that book, I doubt most of them even read it if I’m being honest, probably too busy looking at asses on TikTok and Japanese cartoons.
