In some states the employer is required to have available parking for all employees on duty.
Is the employer also responsible for the security of the vehicles parked therein?

I can park right in front of our glass entrance doorway immediately in front of the shop.
Wouldn't of mattered in St. Louis missouri.UPS is not responsible to even provide parking, much less security for it.
I kept my car clean of any items to steal and did not lock the doors.
I never was broken into while others were.
UPS tends to build in the not so nicest locations.

Theres not much you can do per se, but see if a manger or supervisor can talk to the city or police department directly. With a few complaints you can often get at least a few more police patrols around your area.

Most thefts like this are druggies looking for quick sale items. Hide everything.
Don't leave valuables in your vehicle. Seems like a no-brainer but worth mentioning
Seriuosly, though, 2 or 4 mil Security Window film makes it substantially more diffcult to break into a car by way of a window.
I know folks in Houston, though it is not cheap.
