Going to a liquor store and buying some but not consuming.
Probably ok in uniform, but I wouldn't do it, and then you'd have to transport it in your truck and in the building so I wouldn't try it. If I got a bottle of alcohol as a tip from a customer I'd advise my sup to cover my
.
Definitely ok if you're on lunch.
Taking lunch at a strip club, either in uniform or changing in the truck prior.
You'd be okay if it was on area and you were there to wash your hands, use bathroom or eat and not "partaking" in the adult entertainment in uniform. If out of uniform, and not servicing the strip club before or after lunch then I wouldn't park directly at the club.
Going to an indoor shooting range in uniform.
I don't see how this breaks any rule.
Going to a cigar, smoke or vape shop and buying tobacco.
Definitely okay.
Leaving your truck secured on your route and having someone pick you up to take to lunch off area but returning in time.
Definitely okay. You need to be able to be fully relieved of all duty.
Picking up another driver from a mall and taking him to lunch so he doesn't lose his parking place.
Gray area. If the other guy is in browns and is working that day but on lunch a termination wouldn't stick, but without management permission technically the other driver is an unauthorized passenger, so I would get permission first.
Bottom line, if you are on lunch and not in browns you can park your truck and go anywhere and do anything as long as when you return to work you won't be under the influence of anything that would impede your ability to drive safely...so no alcohol, etc on lunch. As for the browns, if a driver has a question in his mind about whether something they are doing is okay, don't do it in the browns. Just throw a t-shirt on and make sure you're not wearing visible ups socks.
