Sit and get paid to do nothing. They would want you to put an extra lunch in, but only a maroon would actually do that.
We have to run a report every night called "Letterbox before scheduled time" even if you're a minute early they'll nail you for it.
There are ways of sending help without showing up on a report but you have to bend over backwards.
Had a 13 hour day last Thursday because they wouldn't send help with stops. Their exact reasoning was it shows up on a report against Orion so you're on your own.Helped two drivers tonight, another 13hr day in the books.
There's one particular route I cover that this actually happens often. It has a 7pm p/u. It's a high dollar account so worth it to UPS. Typically about 20+ NDA including several internationals everyday. Since you need to make the air trailer by 7:30, you must be done before this p/u. Inevitably, you end up with down time. They can't over dispatch the route obviously because you would need a meet all the time. The other day I managed a whole extra hour of sit time. Hey, it's not my problem.
With Orion, we aren't allowed to transfer work in the diad from another diad so helping isn't an option or it shows up on a report.
I'm surprised the PM Air Route hasnt been assigned that late air pickup.
That's odd. We are a tiny extended center and have one. They pick up letter boxes and any air that is processed after the regular drivers make their regular pickups. In hubs they are often 22.3 and work inside after driving.Never heard of a PM air route. None here.

That will change in about 4 months. With Orion, we aren't allowed to transfer work in the diad from another diad so helping isn't an option or it shows up on a report.
You've taken your full hour and you're done with all deliveries 50 minutes before your PU's start? Call the office?
Sit and wait.
There was this one route I used to crush, and a few times I stop completed a letter box 10 minutes early. One of my Sup's chewed me out and said next time to wait there until pickup time.
Easiest money you can make in delivery. Pickup compliance

They will NOT tell you to put in an extra lunch as that will show up on a report.
It's not going to end up on a report you could put 2 hrs in for a lunch they don't care you not getting paid for it. The problem it that they now it would end up with a grievance be filed if not labor board charges filed.
Sure it does. I made a data entry error while putting in my lunch and was questioned about it before I punched out. I went back in and corrected the error.

Then there are days that I know I'll finish well before my last stop usually a letter box in that case I'll send a message to the OMS clerk around 3 or 4 to give my letter box away to someone and magically in a little while it disappears.
