What would you be doing if not driving for UPS?

I’ve heard that getting your CDL costs thousands with training and cost of the license.

Some companies also don’t pay for your bi-annual DOT physical and license renewal like UPS does.
It can also be just $25 plus fuel if you know a guy with a tractor setup and go to the mvd to get tested. I've never worked at a place that didn't cover the physical, but I know they're out there. What are you getting at?

Not anymore. As of February of 2022 the FMCSA requires that a person must attend a school or program that meets their standards before taking the skills and road tests.

UPS will run a school if needed in the past , havnt done one in yrs around here though,, but our local 25 runs a fantastic school free to members ,, the pass % is phenomenal , you pay for the test only i believe and your CDL . UPS wont pay your cdl

So.... you have no experience with the "new" arbitrators or the panel system at all.

Just another loud mouth, purple haired, bull dike.... eh ?
So when you’re at panel arbitrarily deciding who to defend and who to laugh at while throwing their career to the wolves without a defense, which ones get the most laughs out of you watching their career go bye bye.

Is it the “*”?

Do you find yourself to be a good representative of a teamster?

Only thing I paid for was my learners permit and license when I passed. Well and the week unpaid from work for school.

I think about this a lot while I’m driving around and going into different places and business. I started doing this right after I graduated college and have been at it for about 5 years. I kind of regret not gaining any real skills. Don’t get me wrong I know this is a very good job but if I ever found myself in need of another job I wouldn’t know where to look. What would you guys be doing if it wasn’t for UPS?
after i quit, i worked as

year one nurse - made 28/hr or so plus public pension and unlimited time off. i think its better than UPS
ECG tech - made over 30/hr plus public pension, and a lot of time off. its better than UPS but you need education and its very dirty walking into hospital rooms
transit driver - im just starting this. top pay is 40 plus public pension. i think its better than my healthcare jobs
union rental car - not sure if it was better than UPS, it was toxic work environment. the pay was low for many years.
small fuel truck driver - not sure if better than ups. i didnt like it but maybe the big fuel trucks are a little better.
