Who else is still dealing with Force in Saturdays?

Yes, but that pertained to the 42 day window after ratification in the memo, not the contract.
I don't think so. It is saying if they wanted to change the workweek schedule of someone that was hired post 2019 from m-friend to tues-sat they can do that but need to give 10 days notice. Changing someone from m-friend to m-sat is a change of workweek schedule, shouldn't they be entitled to the same notice? Let him tell his supe he needs 10 days of notice and see what happens. Nothing to lose. He has no other argument and his supe has no freaking idea what the contract says anyways.

Yeah exactly. It's the mf's that 3 days later and still didn't do a damn thing. So you have to slip and slide your way to their door. Nope I'm not doing it anymore.

I'm in a big city but I can't imagine being a country driver having to deal with the people that can't clear their driveway. What do you even do? Emergency conditions? Or risk it? Either way eff that.
I ec'ed over 50 pieces today. All for unclear driveways and walk paths.
Too bad, so sad, don't care. I'll EC untill the company tells us to start the "not in" process, or the customer shovels, whichever comes first.

I shake my head at the thought of the runner making those deliveries and being proud that he can get it done.

I think it's an absolute hazard to the community to even send those trucks out in any winter storm, regardless of the area. More drivers need to put their foot down and tell them to go shovel snow.

The thing is, though-- and this is the really divisive thing-- you're acting like it's a choice. We chose the job, management chose the schedules.

If you're gatekeeping based on dates then I can't be any more concise when I tell you it's a clear-as-day :censored2: you and everything you stand for, and I'm gonna go ahead and speak on behalf of everybody currently in my position or soon-to-be.
Ignore mech.... He pretends he's not a runner gunner, but all the evidence points otherwise..... Example: he apparently still has "Mr covid" sign for his alcohol deliveries. Or so he claimed a few months ago.

Nah
Still being required to work a 6th punch here in local 639 (same local that allowed 6th punches for peak) Had a force in list this week. Then got called into the office to be told personally I'm required to work.

It seems like a nightmare that's never gonna end. I'm not coming. Contract is the contract.
But @Trucker Clock said it was just for peak and thousands of Teamsters jobs and it would be fixed afterwards.

Don't tell me UPS is capitalizing on weakness like everyone here said they would. Lol

So from what I've seen, people that run out of hours by the 6th punch are instructed to jump/help.

Seems like the only exception are the drivers at the very tippety top of the seniority list.

I just pace out my week, man. Whatever happens happens. They want me for 6? That's okay, not gona change my pace.

They message that this week's different and I don't have to report on Monday?

That's okay, not gonna change my pace.
They can't force you over 60 hours

If you are a former 22.4 or a after 8-1-2019 FT hire and have a Monday-Friday work schedule and are being forced to work Saturday. Then your work week is wrong. You should be a Tuesday-Saturday driver per the contract. Being that there is not enough Saturday drivers.

If you file a grievance on being forced a 6th punch(Saturday) I could see the company saying your are volunteering to work Mondays and Saturday is your scheduled work day. They could reasonably win this argument, albeit very shady. Personally I would just work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule till you have enough seniority

90+% of the country including almost every major metro area does not have this problem after the new contract

I truly do not understand what the hold up is with this one local

As I said before peak, weak leadership who either is corrupt or incompetent and refuses to force the company to abide by the contract. End of story. The one and only detractor can't even defend it now as his whole argument hinged on protecting peak season and not losing business.

Your local sucks period! They tried this in my area during peak and the union was on the phone with Labor Manager immediately! “You can put that list up but I promise you nobody has to come in if they don’t want to.” Labor Manager, “ What list?

Labor Manager agreed with the union that they couldn’t force. We found out it was the Division Manager telling center manager to put it up. Nobody was afraid! And they knew it. This is sad!

Boy what a softie. UPS sure doesn’t make drivers like they used to. No wonder so many are overweight. Sit in the truck and ec everything. Typical Karen behavior.

I know but it’s wild that it’s just one. Like I bet there are a more than a few week locals out there but only one of them managed to 🤬 this up lol
