You ever get to the end of your day and find a small box that was 100 miles away so you threw a few stamps on it and tossed it in the mailbox??? Heard a few old old timers do that here on occasion.

It was always seeds these Ol boys that live out in BFE didn’t get anything all year except a package of seeds every spring
Not gonna lie this may or may not have happened
Now I was good friends with the rural route carrier We both stopped for coffee at the same place he’d tell me if you’ve got any runners I can take them going to every house south of town anyway
Id give him one or 2 if it was Friday and they were bad runners

Never heard of that one. Hide it in the pick ups maybe but pay for shipping yourself? NEVER. You could give it to Upstate--he would deliver it in his personal vehicle on his way home.

Public sentiment is great and I believe we will have quite a bit of it but it’s not the most important thing because it’s about us not them. What competition? Who’s gonna take the volume? FedEx lol They can barely deliver what they have now. Amazon already has their own stuff. In the post office won’t do it either. I’m not sure why you believe tech would be a detriment to us and not an asset? I would say the only wild card is our people. With an attitude like yours pervasive throughout the membership that might be the biggest problem. We are either gonna be ready, to stick together for what we want and deserve or we’re going to get what UPS decides to give us

It would be a total logistical nightmare. Even with car deliveries. The government would kill a strike quick. The tech now is a game changer. People who have not walked have no idea. Strike pay begins the very next week no waiting. Can you imagine what part-time people will say when you tell them you don’t even have to go to work and we’re going to give you 150 bucks? At my local it would be 250 bucks a week. That’s close to what some of them make now. Were you around in 97? They couldn’t even unload the trailers or get the volume to any trucks much less random people who would be in their personal cars to even think that would be possible is hilarious, after the first three days in 97 we rarely even saw any trucks coming or going from our facility they gave up, it takes an army of people now and that army would be standing on a picket line.

Really I was told by an old sup one time to do that if I was short on stops, not 20 of course but 5 or 10 here or there. No one ever got the axe for that where I started.
