525 Layoffs

Actually, in one of our buildings (an actual hub) they have 3 big break rooms with AC, cable TV, and

every kind of vending machine you could imagine. Also a fridge to store your personal food or drinks.



I've heard of some (older) buildings that had showers. Never saw one.

Could you imagine dropping your stuff off in the locker room and @IVE GOTTA PACKAGE 4U

comes walking around the corner free balling it with Mr. Johnson hanging out ? Yikes....

Same here. A couple of @oldngray heads used to shower after work when I first started. Not even sure they work these days.

UPS'ers here keep complaining about the bathroom conditions the must endure. The company is helping them with shiny, brand new facilities, they complain about those.

We run ~ 400 package cars, 4 shifts. Figure about 1000 part timers spread out over them all.
I saw the writing on the.wall in the spring and went full time even though it's costing me quite a bit of money for the next few years.
On the plus side, finding a parking spot is going to get a lot easier.
