if next year the company pulled the same exact thing; a contract that says no 6 days but they cry they need 6 days or we will lay off thousands of teamster would you say ok just one more peak?
Why would it be different then vs now?

Most areas never implemented a plan to avoid the 6th punch. This is brand new. They had 45 days, but only had 45 days. And that is on UPS. Hell, most managers can’t even run their centers now, let alone come up with a 6th punch plan.

The issue will be corrected after peak. And yes, it will involve the Co-Chairs.

im having trouble understanding. You are saying ups failed to meet the schedule so we have to let them get away with it to save jobs. But now that we let them violate the 6 punch rule they totally won’t do it again and it will be fixed and if it’s not fixed next peak we will sacrifice the jobs?

Gumby help you out with the sixth day plan

All supervisors can grow up and fill in the gaps where nobody wants to work because they don't have to

No business will be lost

This language is brand new and yes, UPS failed to come up with a plan.

I’m all in favor of extending the 45 days to avoid shippers bailing and Teamster job loss.

The issue won’t be here next peak. It will be resolved in January

Sorry the answer is not good enough

They terrorized driver's during covid with 6 days a week

Now we have clear language and it's not going to happen again

Contract has already been negotiated. They could have done in the 45 days what they are going to have to do at the beginning of the year.

Yes they did and I’m sorry you got butt hurt. But UPS allowed you a good life.

They may have treated you like crap, but you are ready to retire. With a good retirement.

I want the new guys to have the same chance.

It’s already happening. Sorry.

The places it’s happening at are outliers with weak BA and locals.

Yes they could have, but they didn’t. So let’s make them pay, right?

Sounds so familiar to those who wanted to strike just to teach UPS a lesson, no matter what the contract was.

I just don’t understand why you think forcing these guys in in some of these areas is going to take away them having a good retirement! He’s not butt hurt he’s standing up for what is right!

So why is Johnny Sawyer texting a member that there is significant movement and to expect a good report? Just stringing us along for the hell of it?
When is the package division going to stop hiding behind secretaries, voicemail boxes, or anonymous forums and announce this decision to its membership?
