So why is Johnny Sawyer texting a member that there is significant movement and to expect a good report? Just stringing us along for the hell of it?
When is the package division going to stop hiding behind secretaries, voicemail boxes, or anonymous forums and announce this decision to its membership?
Don't expect an answer
Just like when I called hall office several times when the last contract got imposed and I wanted to hear his reply to that, I never got a answer back

Terrorized? Lol.
idk about you but it was so scary

I did get covid twice though.

Sucked but I was lucky. 3 days of contemplating seppuku and then I recovered, so the rest of the time off was a sweet vacation.

The only symptom that persisted for me was falling short of breath really easily for a few weeks. I'm a smoker though, so hell if i know.

Dude it was horrible. Every house was a mystery and most stops definitely had their issues. We worked insane hours, put our families at risk and were treated like rabid animals. Meanwhile the ones who had authority hid at home under the guise of “remote workers’
Yeah most of you think it’s a conspiracy. My family got it and it was horrible for us. (We lost friends and family due to misdiagnosis)
Just chill and move on.

Next time maybe they should shut down. Then we will really see people upset with no money.

My concern now is, if they can force again for peak how do I know that's where it ends? Where is the reassurance they can't force me again after peak? I'm strongly considering leaving the union over this.

And that is the main issue here. Anyone who works here knows that they violate the contract when it benefits them and we are responsible to hold them accountable. If they can get away with it once, they will kick the can down the road and try again next year but on a larger scale. Try with a few locals this year, if it works try again this summer when max vacations hit. Worked again, try again at peak but more locals.

Both sides agreed to the negotiated contract. The company had months from the time it was ratified, not to mention that no sixth punch was one of the first things put out there that was agreed upon. Any foresight by the company would have had them planning from that point.

Company can offer double or triple time if they really want more volunteers. They could have hired and started training drivers sooner. They choose not to do many things that led them to this point. It’s on them.

The union should stand behind the contract they negotiated and the members that voted and ratified it.

I encourage you to ask these questions of the president of our local at the parking lot meeting on Wednesday
