TEAMSTERS: hey ups you can’t force our members to work 6 days per new national agreement
UPS: teamsters we need to run an extended operation 5 weeks per year thanksgiving- Christmas. We will use management to move the packages if we can’t get enough teamsters to do it.

Believe it or not, that would solve a lot of the staffing issues because I for one would refuse to let management take my overtime and to each their own. I’m sure there’s a lot of others who think the same way I do.

Not @Brown Down @IVE GOTTA PACKAGE 4U @some1else. They don't want to be forced a 6th punch, but they'll be the first ones to bitch when management is running routes on Saturday.

Check that. @IVE GOTTA PACKAGE 4U said to let management work.

Exactly what I’m getting at here. If management says they are forced into working management instead of union employees that will make people volunteer that would not volunteer myself included.

Which part of broken contract can you not get through that skull of yours to the tiny brain you clearly have? You are either that stupid, management , or you enjoy being in your knees behind your cms desk. Care to let us know which? And for the record I could care less if they use management if they have exhausted asking for volunteers.
Way to ASSume. Btw you never did answer what I asked. Where'd the SOB memorandum and list of other locals forcing?

Heck you sound reasonable. Why not let management work Wednesday also those are heavy. I mean they are just people to why wouldn’t we let the company staff 20 routes with 20 drivers that way they don’t have to waste money on cover/casual and management can run your route on your day off?
There are a ton of solutions available and for most routes spreading 60 over 5 days can get more work done than adding an extra day anyway

It's not like it's posted on the internet where you believe everything you read.
Oh so it's just your word. How convenient. And literally just your word. Absolutely no one else is saying it. You are a complete and utter liar. As for believing everythibgbin the internet I have never said once everything is believable. Just more moronic drivel out of your mouth. Go back under the desk.

You're the one wanting management to work. They didn't hire enough drivers and the contract cannot force them to offer double time to get volunteers. And the contract cannot force them to stop[ Saturday delivery. I guess there is one option left and you are OK with it. Let management work.

SOB would rather Teamsters do the work, but you think he is wrong. So be it. Maybe you're fine with management working. But, that is a contractual violation. But you don't care about that part of the contract. You only care about the 6th punch part.

One word comes to mind.....Scab.

Hey everyone I read a memo from SOB that we will be forced to work Christmas Eve. Even though it's a Sunday. Suck it up buttercups. It must be true because it's NOT on the internet.

The fact that it's a single local should be telling enough on who is probably not being the most truthful.
The local says that after they told us to call out on sixth days, they received a call from the IBT that they are scared the local is 'instructing the workforce' not to come in and it could be construed as a wildcat. And that they had to correct their statement to us and tell us to come in. All I can say is when I talk to my officials they seem sincere.

Again 1 local out of how many? Yes you shouldn't just not show up. But call in yes. They cannot discipline you on your scheduled day off. And like I said before where is the physical proof the national called and told them that. As a group that adamantly tells us to have everything in writing I find this suspect at best.
