Okay I’ll bite. You said that they couldn’t get trucks and workers etc.. but you have also said it will dealt with next year and it it won’t happen again. What are they going to do when they can’t get enough seasonal to meet their driver/seasonals/trucks ratio next year?? You going to change your tune?? Or is it back to we got to do it to keep the customers?!?!

I know it's difficult for some to understand. It will be worked out after peak with Mon-Fri and Tue-Sat drivers. This can be worked out, but the 60 day period the contract allowed was wasted by the Company. They will have no choice but to work it out after this peak. And they will have 11 months to "practice."

And by then, the contract will have been in force for a year, not just 60 days to figure out a huge issue.

Whatever you say buddy! Everybody understands you clearly they were under the same circumstances you are talking about and were not forced. That’s what you don’t seem to understand.

Guess again. Do you know how many area that they cannot get any more workers, or rental trucks?

Locally, we needed over 300 between helpers and part time. They would have hired the full 300 to staff the operation. After most quit on the first day, we only have 162 out of the 300 needed. Sorry, but they tried.

Everything was gone long ago and nobody wants to work nowadays.

We were shipping in rentals from other states. Nothing left locally. And we are still short rentals.
Well that's on the company to prove that. They haven't done that here and are now paying out sup working grievance.

By the way nice job not posting the part where I said...
"Right now in my area the company is working sups on Saturdays claiming they are exhausting all options and they need to work because they can't get enough volunteers."

But hey what ever you need to do to be right.

Dude you’re wrong this is about local leadership period.

Never said it wasn't. But the IBT told the locals they cannot tell drivers not to come in.

The strong locals stood their ground.

But, if this has to go to the National Panel, sorry, been there, many times. I know how this works. I've sat on the panel.

UPS backed off in these locals. If they wanted to push it, good luck.

You have been at these panels under the new contract and different six punch language?

Yes, you said that. Do I have to post everything you said.

Cheaper and easier just to pay instead of fighting it.

But guess what? The packages are being delivered. By sups.

Relax! Then why I’m I at home not being forced with the same circumstances that all these other locals that are forced right now. Trust me I’m in the biggest center in state and my local said no. Not enough volunteers, trucks, etc. Dude you’re wrong this is about local leadership period. Stop making excuses!
I am very critical of my local leadership. This one is not about local leadership. They did the same thing your local leadership did and then were told they could not handle it that way by the IBT

Your local is in the middle of the most concentrated wealth in the country -shady decision there. IBTs headquarters. Not surprised! If they would give in that’s one area they would do it where you’re located. Why can’t the local say no to the IBT? It’s just seems like something deeper is going on with that.

That's what I said. But some locals disregarded what the IBT said and dealt with it as a local issue.

Your local relied on what the IBT told them because they did not want to take on UPS. Some locals didn't.

Because some locals don't want to have to take on the IBT along with UPS. They will lose.
