I had 5 hours left. They made me jump for another driver on my own route who only had 7 hours.

The lod was the worst I've ever seen. Half Saturday ish /half Monday ish. Saturday pvd work AND Monday pvd work. Must have been over 500 pieces in size 1000 truck.

Good times. Me and the driver were big chillin. Had a nice lunch at Guapo's Brought back 61 stops.
Good business decision. Instead of 70hr rule and paying you double time they paid 2 drivers 1.5x time? My building had several drivers in the building to get their guarantee and someone else was out running their route. Same thing if they paid 2x they could just do their own route

In this particular situation I don't think I could have got it done even with 14 hours. The load was that bad. I'm gonna be so screwed on Monday if they just pile the new stuff on top of what was left haha. Oh well just run out of hours again next week fukkit.

Punch in, punch out. It’s not your route or your packages. If you worked at McDonald’s and there was a line at the drive through when you punch out you wouldn’t go home and stress about how many happy meals behind you are. Ups is good at manipulating weak minded like trucker clock into a Stockholm syndrome he thinks it’s his responsibility, or the unions, to fix the company’s mistakes. View attachment 456910
I don't like that analogy. We aren't equivalent to a McDonald's employee . I genuinely try my best given the circumstances. But if you set me up for failure, I will give you just that.

Okay, but that mindset works at UPS, or McDonald's, so how is that analogy not parallel?

I hate to tell you this, but you are very much the equivalent to a McDonald's drive thru employee.

Your work is just a bit more physical and strenuous....and pays much better.

Remember that at your next local election
My local officers have my support on this issue. I believe they are looking out for the memberships best interest. I don't think it's appropriate for the international to try to get our members to pressure the local into accepting whatever bad deal the company has offered.

Your local drop the ball and now you're paying the price for it

Our local from day one said you are not forcing anyone to work on their day off

But hey if you want to work every Saturday for the rest of your career during Peak go for it

Fair enough, as I don’t know exactly what’s happening here, but I do know you’re being forced Saturday and no one else in the country is.
