710, 705?

The contract was only imposed on those at an outright stalemate after numerous no votes and implications of work stoppage. 705 has only gotten to the tentative agreement stage. They are far from having it imposed on them.

We are approaching 18 months after what should have been the ratification date. I'm sure both sides want to get this contract put to bed.

It's going 18 months because the Chicago locals are ALWAYS the last to settle. And they usually get a little better contract because of it. It's also going on 18 months because all the other locals were still in the process of negotiating and Chicago is smart enough to wait it out and see what everyone else got. They entered into a continuation agreement with UPS so neither side was in any hurry.

"put to bed" would describe your method of putting on something lacy and just taking the first thing UPS whips out at you.

With their recent history I don't see the IBT showing a whole of patience with repeated "no" votes.

Who do you think works for who?
You don't have a dog in this fight, so why do you think we need your opinion? If you're happy with what you got, great; but don't come on here like the great wizard of Oz and think you know all, cause you don't.
