Was always three then you had to get it at the customer counter. When did they change that?Usually after one attempt that goes to an access point

They changed that a while ago.Was always three then you had to get it at the customer counter. When did they change that?
What happened to "service"? Is UPS gonna rebrand as just "United Parcel"?They changed that a while ago.
Oh well. Even sooner. They changed that a while ago.
The access point is actually better for the customer under most circumstances. What happened to "service"? Is UPS gonna rebrand as just "United Parcel"?
Because the Customer Counter is almost never open? The access point is actually better for the customer under most circumstances.
They don't hold all packages after 3 attempts, that stopped back in 2009What's funny about this is if I don't take delivery for three attempts I get to pick it up for free anyway and it costs UPS more for having to stop three times for nothing.
It should have been a signed up service like the electronic releases. Have plenty of pissed off people with it having to drive miles out of their way to get them. Just like a lot of things. Great on paper. Implemented as poorly as possible. The access point is actually better for the customer under most circumstances.
Access point here is faarrrrrr closer to most residents than our customer counter. But mostly because many access points are open later.Because the Customer Counter is almost never open?
I guess. If I deliver at 1400 in the same neighborhood every day, and I get a NI3, is it more inconvenient to drive 5 minutes or deal with UPS and/or reorder the item?It should have been a signed up service like the electronic releases. Some places used COD send agains to use UPS as a warehouse. Wait until the 3rd day before they decide whether they want it or not.I thought it was earlier than that ?
No more post card and hold for 5 days. The company said they were tired of warehousing pkgs.

A couple of ghetto clothing stores were notorious for thatI had two customers that did that.
One was a computer manufacturer and the other was an Indy Lite racing outfit.... and were always cash only.
On more than one occasion, I had to return to the building and dump them off because I couldn't work around them.
I started well after 2009 and that's what happened to all sig-required packages. Held for a week after three attempts. They don't hold all packages after 3 attempts, that stopped back in 2009
I get a ton back from being sent to the access points because the customers WANT us to deliver to their door. The people you describe could sign up. The ones I describe aren't able to opt out as it's a shipper option not a customer option. Just another "service" up form united parcelI guess. Not trueThe access point is actually better for the customer under most circumstances.
Where in the rate and service guide is there an $8 charge for hold for pickup? Nowhere. In fact, it states it is a free service. What the is this bull? When did this nonsense start? I used to have deliveries held all the time either for security or signature reasons with no issue. Now I have to pay $8 just pick it up at the center it's already at anyway??? Get ed. Give me USPS every time.
Service ain't free. Pay up!What happened to "service"? Is UPS gonna rebrand as just "United Parcel"?
