I did enjoy putting a few bucks a month into owning some shares.. kinda cool to be part of that but not cool the way they treat their employees sometimes so I said friend it and started selling it off... I have no regrets about it and I wasn’t REALLY into buying it to make mass amounts of money.... I do know that Mgt was upset when they started offering it to the union members...smh!!I had a few hundred shares but I sold them in 2007. Thank you president Bush, I paid almost zero on the gains.
What happens if you get short handed the rest of the year?
were mechanics at one time teamsters?? I know the pilots were until they got tired of the union they had...How about a "I can't because I am not a Teamster" category?
It was one of the perks being in management, back in the day. They used to make announcements when they had a stock split, just to shove it in our faces.I did enjoy putting a few bucks a month into owning some shares.. kinda cool to be part of that but not cool the way they treat their employees sometimes so I said friend it and started selling it off... That doesn't suprise me.They hire new drivers, usually it seasonals they promote after peak, since most PTers don't want to go package. Many times they just use them for less than 30 days and throw them back.
The union is also viewing this as a way to inject money, by creating full time jobs, into failing pensions plans.
Exactly... I know the mgrs were given good amounts of stock ... now the”MIP” isn’t as easy to max out on.... they have to hit all of their objectives or they don’t get it all.... many sups have been screwed the last few years...oh well, that’s the path they chose...It was one of the perks being in management, back in the day. Now mist if these supervisors make less than we do plus they pay towards healthcare and the new ones have zero pension
Problem is some of our locals leaders are worthless. It’s a proposal. Go to your meeting and ask your own questions.
Are the seasonals pters or off the street hiresThat doesn't suprise me.
Although these new sups have an “enhanced” 401k so when they leave in 5 years it’s theirs to keep.... but they are still getting the shaft from what a sup 20 years ago made but most aren’t here for the long haul anyway...It was one of the perks being in management, back in the day. Hoffa has them on a brownout also??? That’s bs...Problem is some of our locals leaders are worthless.
I went to a meeting recently. Over an hour "meeting" all we got was "I know as much as you guys" I'm not on the negotiating committee.
Christmas help it is. We don'thave summer seasonals. Are the seasonals pters or off the street hires
Where did they come from???Christmas help it is. We didon have summer seasonals.
Off the street. We don't use PTers for seasonal driving work. Are the seasonals pters or off the street hires
Part time drivers, even though they work mist of the year. Plus they never cut routes in the summer.......Where did they come from???
So can they bump back into the hub??? Sounds like a two tier wage job already... so why the fuss over 22.4 drivers...Part time drivers, even though they work mist of the year. Plus they never cut routes in the summer.......
They work full time hours most of the year and they make top rate once they go through progression. So should they bid that 22.4 job and take a $6 an hour pay cut?So can they bump back into the hub??? Sounds like a two tier wage job already... so why the fuss over 22.4 drivers...
No clue. We literally ate breakfast and talked to each other the whole time.Hoffa has them on a brownout also??? That’s bs...
