good for you for being willing to help get the job done. on the other hand, you should be properly trained first. good thing you weren't asked to work a power saw, you might not have that other hand.
the sup should never put you in that position. since they did, they are the responsible party.

I had an old man told me:

Whenever management instructed him to do something he didn't think was right, he got the worst case of poop cramps he had ever had. He had to run to the bathroom, and have a seat. Every time he went back out front to where the center manager was waiting it would happen again. WOW....What an inconvenience.

I am not telling you to run into the bathroom, pull your pants down, and sit down on the job... I'm just telling you what an old man told me one time...ha ha
