Thursday I was walked off the property. Friday was my hearing and got my job back. That Friday I went to the casino and won $1500 dollars playing poker. Friday was my best work day.

Today's shaping up to be a pretty good day lol. I wake up on auto pilot at 2am and realize...I'm on vacation, I can go back to sleep! lol. So, i do...wake up at 430..I have a grand total of 10 texts, 7 missed calls and 4 voicemails from my center manager. Where are you..you're late for work...etc. I text back...Check the calendar, I'm on vacation! center manager texts back...Oh. can you come in anyway....we're down 4 loaders? NO!! lmao... we're all pieces of S* till we're not there...gotta love it!

Back in my Saturday driver days, during a snowstorm, the trailer showed up an hour late, and when we opened it, we discovered it was for the next center 45 miles to the south. Two hours and 30 minutes later, after a full viewing of Pulp Fiction in the training room, and when OUR trailer finally arrived, the decision was made to call our customers and see if they absolutely could not wait until Monday.
4.5 hours paid, did nothing but watch a movie and make a few phone calls.

On Friday, started Pre-Load as usual. Was sent down to irregs as i've been doing all week. About 5 minutes into the shift, this trainer Lady asked me if I was who she was looking for, which I was. She told me she was pulling me to train me for P.I.T.O. which I thought was odd cause i've only been employed for here about 6 months. 30 minutes later Im P.I.T.O. certified for the next 3 years and driving the irreg train all over the hub. It felt good. Secondly, I was scheduled to take my road test to get into driving school after pre-load, this definitely helped me relax. Passed my road test, passed my d.o.t. card exam and have school on Monday. pretty sweet Friday if you ask me. Best decision of my life was to switch careers into UPS. I used to be a chef working 12 hour days, no benefits, ****ty pay, working weekends. Life is good. I can understand while alot of people who've only known UPS as job/career (whatever), to complain alot, but for me, UPS is about a million times better than any job i've ever had. Theres not much of a point to this post, just felt like sharing i guess. You are free to trash talk and comment.
