  • Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation announced on April 27 the appointment of three people to their board of directors
  • They included Cicley Gay, 44, an Atlanta-based activist and mother of three who founded a network called The Amplifiers, promoting social change
  • Gay said she was 'taking time to build efficient infrastructure to run the largest black, abolitionist, philanthropic organization to ever exist in the United States'
  • Yet on Wednesday it emerged that Gay has herself been declared bankrupt in 2005, 2013 and 2016
  • Her most recent filing showed Gay had more than $120,000 in debts, including owing $55,000 in student loans and $18,000 for leasing a Lincoln MKZ sedan
  • In 2013, she tried to apply for bankruptcy protection, but a federal judge tossed out the application because she failed to pay the $306 fee.
  • She also claimed to have $7,000 in medical expenses and owed $8,000 to two Christian schools, according to the records obtained by The New York Post
In 2015, she founded her public relations and consultancy firm, The Amplifiers.

But in 2016, when filing for her most recent bankruptcy, she answered 'no' when asked if she had opened a business in the last four years.

Possible new poster children for BLM;

Some witnesses claimed Hale had been trying to cooperate and was unarmed before she was gunned down and arrested

Da'Shontay L King Sr ,37, was shot and killed by a police officer in Racine during a traffic stop on May 20.
Cops said King stepped out of his vehicle holding a gun and refused to comply with orders to drop it.
The officer then opened fire, and King was pronounced dead at the scene.

  • All of the victims were members of King's family, but their conditions remain unknown at this time

When do the mostly peaceful protests begin ?

A White Michigan police officer who killed Patrick Lyoya, a 26-year-old black man, with a shot to the back of his head as they wrestled on the ground, has been charged with second-degree murder.
Prosecutor Chris Becker announced the charges on Thursday against Grand Rapids Officer Christopher Schurr, weeks after Lyoya was killed following a chaotic traffic stop on April 4.
'The death was not justified or excused... by self defense,' Becker said.

The city police department released footage of the shooting taken from the dashboard of the officer's squad car, from his body-worn camera and from a neighbor's surveillance camera shortly after.
The footage shows Lyoya, a native of the Democratic Republic of Congo, stepping out of the car on a rainy street of Griggs and Nelson SE, seemingly confused and asking 'What did I do?' as the officer repeatedly asks for a driver's license and orders him to get back inside the vehicle.
