and youre quite right theres nato members by russia that werent supposed to be there. take all the nato countries added after the soviet union collapsed and you will see all the countries that werent supposed to be part of nato.

When were nukes put in Ukraine? Come on, you said it, prove it. Ukraine gave up the nukes they had after the breakup of the Soviet Union.

Ukraine wanting to join and Ukraine joining are two very different things. Ukraine was in no position to join and wasn't even on a timeline to join. Putin coveted Ukraine and used any pretense as an excuse to invade. So let's stop talking about it was Ukraine's or NATO's fault. This entire mess was Putin's doing. No one held a gun to his head.

I still think it’s important we support Ukraine, or at the very least get a ceasefire with very clear and strict guidelines on what happens if Putin invades again
You can only ignore issues like this for so long before it eventually ends up where you’re forced to confront it, and at that point it may be much harder to deal with rather than dealing with it earlier
