This is pure nonsense pov. The world you inhabit, the laws you follow, the education you receive, the why you drive, the seat belts in a car were decided in part by what some political said. You are constantly basing your view of the world based on the rules in the world that politicians helped construct. This doesn't mean one can't question, doubt, disagree, hate what some politician says. But come on the life we lead based on the laws of this nation were heavily influenced by what some political leader said or didn't say about the economy or taxes for example and those facts impact all our world views.

I can't do this pretend thing with trump supporters where I pretend that they care about someone being accurate or truthful, when trump fans by definition support a man who is a huge liar, and who has said some truly dumb stuff about the virus. So trump fans want to require perfection from the CDC for the CDC to have credibility, while they ignore the deeply stupid things trump has said and done surrounding the virus. I'll hold the CDC to the same standard that trump fans apply to trump. That's fair.

My dishonesty? I am not justifying anything. I am saying when communicating with trump fans, I hold the CDC and their response to the virus to the same standard of credibility as trump fans hold trump and his response to the virus. That's fair. I am not going to pretend with trump fans that they care about someone being accurate or truthful when by definition they support a huge liar and a man who has repeatedly said some deeply stupid things about the virus on many occasions.

trump is deeply stupid when it comes to doing the job of the president, but when communicating with trump fans, and they post Oh the CDC said something wrong about covid therefore the CDC has no credibility, well trump was out here repeating Chinese propaganda about how they handled the virus, he was personally praising the Chinese president, so if trump fans can ignore and not care about that debacle from trump over the virus why pretend they care about the CDC saying something incorrect about the virus? They don't care.
