Coronavirus

trump is deeply stupid when it comes to doing the job of the president, but when communicating with trump fans, and they post Oh the CDC said something wrong about covid therefore the CDC has no credibility, well trump was out here repeating Chinese propaganda about how they handled the virus, he was personally praising the Chinese president, so if trump fans can ignore and not care about that debacle from trump over the virus why pretend they care about the CDC saying something incorrect about the virus? They don't care.

that was early on at the same time he shut down flights from China. He has been harshly critical of china since then to the degree that white house reporters have tried to accuse him of being racist.
do you ever tell the truth on anything?

I got a chance to learn a bit about New Zealand and the Covid measures they took. I live in the US and it’s hard for me to get a complete, accurate picture of what life is like in other countries, so feel free to correct me, but...

It seems to me they closed their borders before it had spread very far. Because they did so early, plus a lockdown, they were able to eliminate Covid from New Zealand.
Unfortunately, they are still vulnerable - they have to keep their borders closed until the rest of the world has reached immunity, or they risk letting Covid sweep through their population. We will have to continue to watch them to see if they are able to keep Covid out, and at what cost. They are losing much of their tourism revenue.

Contrast that with Sweden - they seem to be mostly through with Covid while the rest of Europe is still getting hurt by it. Meaning they have their freedom. When all is said and done, we can look at the totals. We’ll have to wait and see and compare.
yea i was reading the wikipedia on NZ. they did a full lockdown then eased up and had no cases for a while and suddenly they had some cases so they imposed some kind of partial restrictions within a day of the news. right now they only have border controls.

yea im not sure how sweden lowered transmission ive read up on it. their public health agency pretty much recommends what everyone else does except the masks part. only think i can think of is people there are good at self regulation. some people in the world clearly cant.

What's your point other than proving my point? You want to have one standard for the incredibly deeply stupid things trump has said about the virus and you want to hold another standard for the CDC. But to me when dealing with trump fans, I'll hold the CDC to the same standard they hold trump. That's fair.

"Well, they couldn't be tested by the clinic," Wallace responded, explaining how he and Hemmer had arrived early enough to be tested, but the Trump family "didn't show up until 3, 4, 5 in the afternoon" on the day of the debate. "Yeah, there was an honor system" when it came to the two campaigns' people, Wallace finished.

They were not tested because they arrived too late. They also wore masks while entering the debate site and removed them once inside.

they were tested at the white house and before they travelled. Everyone is tested in many different ways before they get around the president including the first family. You're acting on one biased moderators guess who even admits he does not know what testing may have taken place but only speculates based on their arrival time.
but then speculation is generally as close as you get to facts anyway.

Well, assuming Porky Pig survives, he has the perfect excuse for his coming record shattering defeat. It will look something like this:

"Everyone knew I was going to win. It was going to be amazing. Then I caught the fake virus."

the hypocrisy in chris christie and donald trump either going to a hospital when they denied others or using socialized medicine is unbelievable.

“These are the patterns of this presidency, and for Trump, the patterns of a lifetime,” said Peter Wehner, a Republican who served in President George W. Bush’s administrations and a Trump critic. “There’s no reason to believe he or his inner circle are going to change.”

Next you're going to tell me the first family all wore masks at the debate.

why would i do that ? clearly they didnt while seated though they did wear them walking into the center. You said they were not tested and they were. In fact they have been tested daily and that clearly gave them a false sense of security. You cant take one fictitious statement you made based on one persons guess and defend that with another false guess.
