I'm well known to my local police , I'm the guy who sometimes drives the commissioner around.
Why just last Monday evening we helped in an ocean rescue. Two men had engine trouble off shore and needed a tow in , we found the boat for the Harbor Master, who towed them in. Later I heard that some one else had towed them in earlier for the same problem. Boat was old but fine, however the operator was an idiot. They had attached the trailer license plate to the stern.

I'm not going to get into the details but I was not charged ... I don't have a felony or a misdemeanor on my record.

Damn lucky but I conformed to UPS and US law because of my responsibility of my family.

They can control my behavior (mostly) but not my thoughts (at all).

Ignorance is not bliss all the time.

The major religions were founded upon ignorance and the need to provide explanations and comfort to followers thousands of years ago. They still provide that function. Doesn’t mean they do a better job of informing folks than, say, science does these days.

They are as likely to shoot you or arrest you as to help you.
