Does anyone have experience working in an automated building?

All I know is before I retired they were automating my old building with automatic PAL labeling system(so someone doesn't stand there putting labels on). It was a complete failure. I think they abandoned it, tons of money wasted.

My old preload manager was always pissed because they were testing this system trying to get it tuned in meanwhile shutting down two of our offload primary belts, constantly having to shut them down during preload I thought he was going to have a stroke.

This job isn't worth anyone having a stroke.

If they are automatic why do they always have now hiring banners outside the perimeter fence and up on the buildings??? Thought this "automation" was supposed to wipe out the union ranks?
Automation brings in an entire new set of problems. Like I guess more tenders will be created. The machine isn’t perfect and it jams all the time and breaks down.
