Fight the power.
Ron, don't you tell other's to count their blessings? Well it's time for you to do the same. The only difference between you and Tex are the color of the uniforms and what each color has lived up to. I do understand your color has a collective bargaining agreement.
Yes be thankful..... I’m not following... Are you on any medications? Not trying to be an a*!hole. Seriously..

Thyroid is all. Van is only one of thousands that can make many of the same claims. Sorry for busting your walnuts if you were just being humorous. I'm merely passionate about my beliefs. Kinda like a stadium full of fans, a picture I know you understand. I know you weren't trying to be an A*!hole, didn't take it that way. I do like poking you in the ribs though, all in fun though. Now go find a quarterback.

Many may have your work ethic and will wash out.

1. Have a good work ethic, gross 100k a year free medical, dental, vision, legal benefits. Plus 9 weeks paid time off. A 401K option. A 70K+ pension after 30 years (depending on when you started). and a little savings (*10-20k or more) given to you at the end. Have a boss you rarely talk to, and retire, start a new career @ 52.

* depending on market conditions.

2. Have a poor work ethic, and hopefully earn $20 an hour with little benefits, and 1 or 2 weeks vacation. But you think you have a say in your work and life, while you work until 67. Having to live in a trailer on SS.

Complain about everything, listen and donate to millionaires that bring you down. Quote their lies and half truths on internet boards.

I prefer number 1. Where I can control my future. Have a better lifestyle, and have other endeavors.
yea but you do not control your future LOL. you spend most of your time working more than 40 hours a week in the present. UPS abuses alot of its workers as demostrated by threads which i DO NOT post. and by the time your retired your body is semi ruined. you couldnt pay me to do a job which is more than 40 hours a week on a consistent basis.

there are better jobs out there than UPS. are you kidding me? maybe raise your expectations. ive worked at maybe 1 or 2 jobs that are better: a train port job and 1 other. ive seen a ton of better jobs. just go to school for something good, and then you wont get abused by UPS.

i think you not being involved in democracy means you leech off of the people who do. its a kind of laziness. and it means you dont care about america. and eventually that stuff will catch up with you, even people with above average success like you. its only a matter of time before the american dollar loses its purchasing power for example. or maybe they will criminalize unions in america. or the stock market will go to :censored2:s. democracy is not guaranteed.

you can pretend like your a good citizen all day by how much money you have in your bank, but your not.

what kind of future will your kids have? america will look like the greeks soon.

So do I. In the market for one. My son graduates in May and would like to get him one for a graduation gift. Damn things are hard to find for a reasonable price.
Tell me about it.
I thought I would pick one up for camping ... just bought a 6x12 cargo trailer and converted to a sleeping trailer.

We are not a democracy ricky, thankfully so. I say thankfully because if it was instituted as a democracy the United States of America would not be in existence today. We are currently teetering on the destruction of the Republic. My opinion is it is already lost, all that is left is to dot i's and cross t's. It will take awhile to accomplish the final mortification. I'm glad I will not be around to see the global ramifications of the loss of this once great nation. Be careful for what you wish, it may occur.

What you think of my country matters zero to me. My concern is what I think of my country, I'm not pleased with the direction, I am pleased that a political novice that loves his country more than most American's, is attempting to right the course. Sadly I don't see it happening. Let the chips fall where they may.

That was the original design. Only male white land owners could vote.
Correct, at the time of the signing it granted the greatest freedoms to citizens that the world had ever known. I see you know little of historical government. I could pick your statement apart further, but I'll sit back and watch, and see if you choose to display your ignorance further. I can always circle back and pick this pathetic statement apart.

Take it in context of it's time. It was like that everywhere, not just the U.S.. We've had terrible problems, we've come a long way, but it'll always be a work in progress. For all the race baiting here blacks are infinitely better off than 100 years ago. But the constant white bashing by liberals is doing nothing to improve relations now. It's my theory, and I don't think I'm far off, that liberals realize that the run up in the national debt is seriously jeopardizing programs they depend upon, and are ramping up the White guilt to insure the money keeps flowing. You can't keep beating people over the head about past sins and not expect a backlash at some point. Solution? A great economy with plentiful, decent jobs would be a good start.

I stated a fact. One you agree is correct. What exactly are you picking apart?

Van, I respectfully disagree with you pertaining to some kind of new realization on the part of leftist, progressive, socialist, marxists. These clowns don't even realize they belong in any of these descriptions. Why do you think they argue and say they aren't a member of any of these classifications? Each group is denoted by political philosophy, and philosophies are named so intelligent people can address a target. Joseph Stalin coined the phrase "useful idiot." Don't give an inch Van, hold your ground then attack. Only way to deal with useful idiots.

are they better off than the 1970s or 1960s? im not so sure.

the 800 billion defense budget is ruining the debt. and the expensive private healthcare.

There are definitely those, but then there are the insidious ones who know damn well what they are, but will never admit to it as they work towards that kind of society. Saw a movie once starring Rowdy Rodney Piper where he had special glasses that showed the lib..er..alien lizards amongst us. If only we had such glasses!
