Good. If management wants drivers in early they can fix the dispatch. They know when they are setting a certain driver up for failureSomeone told me this is exactly what people are doing.
I just find it weird that drivers are upset that management is following the contract, seems ass backwards to me.Most people don't care about the contract until something negatively affects them.
They should worry more about over dispatching and load quality instead of worrying about when I take my lunch. IMOI just find it weird that drivers are upset that management is following the contract, seems ass backwards to me.
Yes, if they wait to take their lunch, they can get an extra hour of pay everyday. Are they doing it to make sure their pickups make the trailer?
It's pretty comical isn't it?I just find it weird that drivers are upset that management is following the contract, seems ass backwards to me.
You want us to follow the contract? This is us following the contract. They should worry more about over dispatching and load quality instead of worrying about when I take my lunch. IMO

Yeah, you're right but let us know next January what UPS pays in grievances this year. This is just regional flavor of the month. You want us to follow the contract? This is us following the contract.

I don't want to know. I'm sure it's sickening.I'd like to know how much UPS saved in paying OT to the guys who skip their lunch daily...
They let us 05 here and I'm not sure I know of 1 person that sits down and takes their hour every day. Most take 10-20 min.I'm so confused by this whole situation. This last week our management team said all drivers must complete their full hour lunch by 5pm, or 8th hour, per the contract. Multiple veteran drivers are complaining about this, I never realized how many people run through the day and take break at the end. These are guys with over 15 years in, is this a normal thing at your center?
I personally take 40 mins or so during the day and the last 10-15 mins in the building, so it's not that big of a change for me. I just figured guys would be happy that management is adhering to the contract.
I wish my center did that. The bonus babies would go absolutely nuts. LOLEveryday at 1320 that message pops up, then adds a line to the top off EDD that says meal until you put a start and end off lunch

Take your lunch at the appropriate time and it'll help with the over dispatching. They should worry more about over dispatching and load quality instead of worrying about when I take my lunch. IMO
I only care about the grievances against me.Yeah, you're right but let us know next January what UPS pays in grievances this year. This is just regional flavor of the month.
