You took my 'pot = hippies = nobodies', 'booze = leaders = somebodies' thing a bit too seriously, I said it sarcastically, but it does have some merit. W Bush is a drunk (watch Journies with George [or maybe Gournies with George]), Yeltzin was a drunk, and Churchill was definately a drunk. Try to find me three comparable stoners.
So let me elaborate about the Liberal-Hippie thing you're making a big deal out of:
Hippies do a lot of drugs, get these really stupid ideas that they believe are genius, go into a drum circle for a few hours, drop out of university, don't get a job in protest to the system, and work for crap wages at the health-market living off the fringes of society resenting people like me who try to make something of themselves. They vote NDP (socialist) and plug their ears and shout as loud as possible--calling me a homophobic bigoted anti-abortionist war-mongerer--when I tell them that I vote Conservative and that I support the Conservatives because I don't want my tax money going to pay dependant hippies or pot research. They then say that Conservatives are BigITCHES to the Americans and are in the pocket of corporations even though the C leader strongly condemned Bush's border-plan and they recently started taxing income-trusts much to the dismay and horror of oil corporations.
Liberals, although my rivals, have jobs, study, and get ideas from other means than narcotics. The only thing I oppose is the way they see best to run this country.
