Earnings Call Delayed!

It must be a strong earnings report.

Releasing it would not bolster their negotiating position.

UPS Stock just shot up to 185.24…

How that pertains to the strike deadline is anybody’s guess…

Would it be a safe assumption that they have may have secretly released earnings to the larger shareholders?

Why would the stock jump up before a possible strike..after the scheduled earnings release?

No. If your in a labor dispute and your earnings are going to hurt your bargaining position, wouldn't that signal a buying opportunity? By not releasing on schedule, the company is signaling a better than expected quarter and possibly positive forward guidance.

With the earnings of a couple hands full of companies already released and the reports are all beating expectations with positive forward guidance, it further supports UPS's decision to hide their returns until the contract is settled.

Hard to keep their earnings a secret..similar to what happened when they went public.

Again, back in “95” we had management putting second mortgages on their homes in order to purchase UPS stock, apparently somebody, somewhere leaked the information.

The very fact that O’Brien suggested that this delay is due to our current negotiations seals the deal.
