My understanding is that it's the same as the flora that we all have. We all carry a different flora and we spread it to those we live closely with. This is why people in the same house don't catch every bug another family matter has. We can use each other's face towel and not catch a bug but if someone else uses it they may be more susceptible.
There is a lot of proof that people with strong immune systems "earned" them from exposure. If you have a kid that wasn't around others, once they are, they will be ill often. Kinda pay now or later.

My wife is still wearing a mask when she goes outside. Im SO sick of seeing people with masks. I might just get rid of her.
