Read my post. I never compared gun ownership to segregation. I compared the 2nd Amendment to the 15th, and tactics used by people who would deny others the rights that both amendments are supposed to protect.

Because we are citizens of the same nation. Your state recognizes my drivers license and it recognizes my marriage license, so why shouldnt it recognize my carry license? Why should my rights be taken away simply because I stepped across a line on a map?

1. If I have a permit, it means I passed a background check (twice) and underwent training.

2. If my weapon is concealed, you wont worry about it because you wont see it and you will never know its there.

3. If I am the type of person that you actually DO have to worry about, then it means I am a criminal who breaks laws and who will carry a weapon without a permit and whether it is legal to do so or not.

4. Convicted criminals cant legally buy or possess guns, nor can they obtain permits to carry them concealed. Unfortunately, many of these people break the law and carry guns anyway, which is why they call them "criminals".

1. Minors do not have full Constitutional rights and never have. They cannot vote, they cannot own property or enter into legally binding contracts, they cannot drink alcohol, and they cannot buy or own guns. No rational person would suggest giving minors all of these rights and no rational person would suggest that giving guns to teenagers would make schools safer.

2. Every single mass shooting that has occurred in a school or mall or theater has been premeditated. The shooter never intended to obey the laws that require these places to be "gun free" zones. The only people who did obey the law became unarmed victims of the criminals who didn't.

3. Comparing drinking and driving to allowing guns in public places is a false analogy. An otherwise law-abiding person who drives under the influence is a danger to everyone around him on the road. A law-abiding person who carries a firearm is not.

4. The people who cling to the fantasy of "gun free zones" as a solution have the false belief that the gun is responsible for murders when in fact the responsibility lies with the criminal who wields it. A gun is an inanimate object. Possession of a gun does not cause an otherwise law-abiding person to become a criminal. Those who break the laws against committing murder will also break the laws against being armed in "gun free zones", causing those who obey the law to be helpless against them.

Can't be. Gun control claws didn't even start to appear for a hundred years so why would there be an age restriction? But no right is limitless so your final statement is utterly meaningless in terms of constitutional merit.

I sent a couple of copies of what you posted to some friends who took part in Civil Rights Marches in the 1960's and they all told me you were had a less than complete grasp of what the African Americans went thru at that time,and to compare it to their plight showed them you were in dire need of a history lesson.
