There is no requirement for a background check for a private sale. Ttku

Always comply with local, state, federal, and international law.

If you buy a gun from a felon or sell to a felon, guess what?
jail time...
If you think that if you tell the police that you didn't know about the buyer/purchaser being a felon will save you, guess what?
jail time

Sooooo, you better do your own background check before you buy/sell privately!

It's creative because you mentioned state or local. One can simply find a state or local that has no requirement.

ok, so if you "locally" sell/buy from/to a felon, how does that apply???

Saying that you "didn't know" seller/buyer was a felon, doesn't fly.... jail time

ignorance of the law doesn't save you... carry on

I'm not required to do a background check to sell a gun privately.
So I'm not sure what you think I would get jail time for..... not being psychic?

The buyer would be the one who broke the law not the seller.

Your're a man that can think and is not a criminal. Would you like to meet my ex-wife. She's a good girl, she likes new money also.

Because there is no Federal law requirement for background checks on private sales. How is it breaking the law if there is no law?

There are all kinds of laws against murder, thank God there are none. Murders that is. The man was only speaking of a lawful citizen that would not prefer to be a possible defendant some day. You're very thick in the skull.
