Herman Cain

"Politico, the political daily of liberal pedigree that set the hounds on Mr. Cain, has not said what he is guilty of, or when, or where, or who says so. Innuendo is enough. Politico says it has a half-dozen sources “shedding light on different aspects of the complaints.” Once upon a time, a reporter trying to get a story merely “shedding light” on “aspects” past a gruff old city editor would have been thrown down the stairs if the gruff old city editor was having a particularly bad day."

Absolutely ridiculous....now he's sexist for calling a man and not a woman...............get over it Maddie !!!!

Friday, November 4, 2011 @ 12:43 pm |Madeline Albright Accuses Herman Cain of Being Sexist Because He Didn’t Call Her For Advice…

That’s a serious charge and Albright’s only proof is Cain called Henry Kissinger instead of her.
Via Beltway Confidential:
Former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, who served under President Clinton, attacked the embattled Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain for sexism during her appearance on Morning Joe this morning.

Noting that Cain had met with Cold Warrior and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger to discuss foreign policy, host Joe Scarborough asked Albright if she had met with Cain and how that meeting unfolded. It turns out, they haven’t met.
“Well, he didn’t call me,” Albright said, “I’m the wrong gender.” After taking that abrupt shot at Cain, Albright described what she would have told him had they met. “I think the greatest challenge [facing the United States] is our economy and our deficit, because I think it is a national security issue.” She went on to discuss the interdependence of U.S. and European economies and to comment on the deficits overseas.

The Cain Train still rolling.
(Ballot Box) — A majority of voters said the allegations of past sexual harassment against Herman Cain does not influence their likelihood of supporting Cain as the Republican nominee, according to a new poll conducted during the controversy.

Sixty-nine percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents surveyed said the controversy did not have any impact on their support of Cain, according to the ABC News and the Washington Post poll. Fifty-five percent said they don’t consider the allegations currently swirling around Cain’s campaign to be a “serious matter.”

Cain retains his frontunner status in the poll with 23 percent support nationally, neck and neck with Mitt Romney who has 24 percent. Rick Perry is in third place with 13 percent, and Newt Gingrich has surged to 12 percent.

Among the nearly four in 10 Republican and Republican-leaning voters who do consider the allegations to be serious, 52 percent said it makes them less likely to vote for Cain. The poll showed that a higher number of respondents considered the allegations “serious” later in the week, as the controversy continued to grow.

And yet not one real proof of evidence that anything sexually harrassing ever occurred. Im still waiting for the proof. A blue stained dress with appropriate DNA would suffice
So the settlements mean nothing? Let's not assume that. Businesses could hardly afford to pay out settlements to everyone who whispered harrassment, now could they? Some battles are worth fighting, some aren't. The ones that aren't may have some validity, don't you agree? None of that means Cain should withdraw. It means republican voters need to decide whether or not it means anything.

The payout settlements do mean something. But there cant be automatic guilt attached to it. Lets see how that pans out first. The accusations were made as if he did it, so the proof should be put out there. If not then its just good ole rumor mongering

You won't have stained stuff !
It's sexual harrasment, not sexual assault !

Cain probably just kept asking for sex, that's all.
But, as we all know, you can't do that in the work place. But, he did.

Simple as that.
His problem now is, how he is handling the crises.
He could face much worse ones as president, and he's certainly not doing a good job handling this one.
First he denies, then he remembers a few things, then he pulls out the race card, then blames Perry.... not looking good !

No its not as simple as that.... you have no proof to back that up whatsoever. Thats the whole point. He "probably" kept asking? Thats your proof? You simply believe it because you want to. Thats not evidence of any kind

Businesses pay out settlements all the time because a lengthy court trial is way too expensive and time consuming and companies just want to get on with the bottom line....making money! Pay it, be done with it!! UPS does it. People file frivolous suits all the time.

Don't guess at what happened or didn't happen.

Simply asking a woman out for a date is not sexual harrasment, and these women would have never filed for such a reason or would have never gotten a settlement, either.
Think about it !

Cain the pervert !

You can be flip about it, but frivolous lawsuits cost every American family plenty every year. The courts are overloaded with them. 'Loser pays all costs' could help to reduce some of them.

Im not saying conspiracy or not. I dont care. If he did it then he did it. But I also want some proof to back it up. Who are these women you mention? What are their names? What exactly are the accusations? And what evidence do they have to show he is guilty of sexual harrassment (other than the claim)? You are simply gullible or wishful enough to believe it just because someone says he did.

You know everyone just knew those boys from Duke were guilty when a woman accused them. They were ready to hang them. Then the facts started to come out. Lets see how this plays out with some proof
