My first thought of Hawaii50 was the TV show. And the image that came to my mind was the outside of the Iolani Palace that is shown on the opening credits (although the show wasn't filmed there). I have been to both places - Iolani Palace and Arizona Memorial.

Look at the picture. That is a bird-farm, a flat-top, an aircraft carrier. Notice the planes on deck; also if you look closely you will see that the ship is floating.
