what I'm talking about. We love hiking out in the woods and mountains but at night it's feather beds and silk sheets. My idea of camping is a Marriott overlooking the forest

We did lots of tent camping years ago. Eventually graduated to one of those small Scamp trailers. Used that for years. Since 2011 we had did our camping in a fancy toy hauler with all the bells and whistles. Been thinking about selling it next year because camping is just getting too expensive and the campgrounds are packed. We paid $130 bucks a night for a campsite at Glacier this year.My idea of camping is a Marriott overlooking the forest

You would think so but motels around Glacier were starting at $350 and up a night. We stayed 4 nights. Out of the 4 days we were there the park closed 2 of them for the afternoon because as the sign at the entrance stated they were "FULL".Better off in a hotel

Yeah it was pretty commonAll we did was tell our mechanic and he would replace a broken one --- nothing said. I don't recall anyone ever being charged with an accident for a broken mirror if they said a branch got it or the car washer/ spotter must have done it.
I used to do a lot of tent camping when on road trips. It made sense when campgrounds were cheap. But now its probably cheaper to just stay in a motel. We did lots of tent camping years ago.
