Had her about 3 years now. 91.5% German Shepherd. She loves me more than my wife these days.

The other rescue. He's a mess breedwise, but he does resemble a Golden. He's Mama's boy.

She plays footsie all the time with me. She taps me on the foot and I reply in kind. It goes on for 10 minutes at a time

Too bad she has Epilepsy and a weak bladder.

I’ve rescued a couple dogs. I had one that really bonded with me after letting him find out he was safe and cared for. When I would go on a 3 day fishing trip my wife said he would stay upstairs on our bed without coming down. Barely ate, and he was a real food hound. There’s so much depth in rescue dogs. Breaks my heart how people can just dump a dog.

Meds have the seizures mostly under control, but the weak bladder thing is even worse now.

When I would go on a 3 day fishing trip my wife said he would stay upstairs on our bed without coming down. Barely ate, and he was a real food hound. There’s so much depth in rescue dogs. Breaks my heart how people can just dump a dog.

I believe both of them starved early in life. You would not believe how they literally inhale at feeding time. Got the special bowls and everything.

Mine would leap up and down at feeding. Very protective of food, which I had to correct .

Fortunately not agressive, but VERY food motivated.
