Most Latin American countries have gone socialist to varying degrees. How then is the U.S. interfering in their elections? And who is under crushing sanctions again? When the U.S. sanctioned Cuba they still had trade with other countries. So why are the Cubans economically depressed? Communism.
ive posted links here frequently showing deaths worldwide from US wars, and election coups by US

yet you continue to stick your head in the fox news sand...

theres a pic of the country and the year US couped it which ive repeatedly posted

you are old and your memory is going
Has the U.S. pulled strings behind the scenes? Of course. We were in a cold war and determined to keep communism out of power wherever we could. Now please point to all the times the U.S. sent troops to South America. We weren't smart supporting some dictators but some of those dictators weren't so bad. Pinochet in Chile was responsible for Chile modernizing and becoming the first First World nation in Latin America. Wherever you find dictators who installed a socialist state you find countries completely falling apart. I'm in one now.

dont conflate socialism with things falling apart. it likely has lots to do with your first admission which is " We were in a cold war and determined to keep communism out of power wherever we could" including destroying their economy.

with climate catastrophe, some worry about increasing authoritarianism to maintain the status quo of pollution. losing your right to privacy and money would be part of that.
